Srinagar, 10 March (KB): World’s Largest National Open University with international jurisdiction known as the People’s University (IGNOU) which is the largest platform of higher education in the present era by playing a constructive role to transform the society through higher education opportunity at door steps with the mandate of democratisation of higher education to the common masses.
While interacting with Kashmir Bulletin--(KB), Dr. Kamlesh Meena director of IGNOU said the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), is established by an Act of Parliament in 1985, has continuously striven to build an inclusive knowledge society through inclusive education.
“We at IGNOU always wanted our youth to be educated, as a director of IGNOU, its my deauty to Inform the youth about the new cources and other opportunities being provided by IGNOU. Come and join the finest University of all, come and feel like home, If you have any queries related to anything come directly to us,” he said.
“Being a centre for online Education, IGNOU was established on September 1985. The vision is to align with the nation’s digital initiatives to provide for affordable access to quality education through a virtual learning environment for anyone, anytime and anywhere,” he said.
Dr. Kamlesh Meena also told KB, that we are pleased to announce that Indira Gandhi National Open University has taken appreciative initiatives by launching new programmes, under different schools. The School of Extension and Development Studies (SOEDS), IGNOU has launched Master of Arts Corporate Social Responsibility (MACSR) programme from January 2022 session onwards. This programme has been launched by the scaling up of the PGDCSR programme that has already been launched in the January 2021 session.
