India Post Announces Fresh Vacancies For 10th Pass In 7th CPC Scale – Check Details Here

Department of Posts has released a fresh notification inviting applications from eligible candidates for Staff Car Driver positions in the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) scale.The residual promotion quota vacancies are to be filled by direct recruitment. A total of 29 posts (General 15, OBC 8, SC 3, EWS 3) will be filled up through the recruitment drive.

Vacancy Details

Age Limit: Candidates applying need to be 18 years of age and not more than 27 years. The crucial date for determining the age limit shall be the closing date of receipt of applications, March 15, 2022. For age relaxation details, go through the link given below.

Educational & Other Qualifications

– Possession of a valid driving license for light and heavy Motors vehicles

– Knowledge of Motor Mechanism (candidate should be able to remove minor defects in vehicle)

– Experience of driving light and heavy Motor vehicle at least three years

– Pass in 10th standard from a recognised Board or Institute.

Desirable qualification: Three years service as Home guard or Civil Volunteers

Period of Probation: Two years

Method of recruitment: Direct recruitment

Selection Procedure

Selection of Driver shall be made on the basis of test as prescribed by Department to assess their competency to drive light and heavy motor vehicles including knowledge of Motor Mechanisms and ability to remove minor defects in vehicle from amongst the candidates possessing the requisite eligibility criteria mentioned in the official notification.

The date and venue of the tests will be intimated separately to the eligible candidates. No intimation will be sent in respect of other applicants who are not eligible
